First and foremost, something that is meaningful and resonant for you.  While it is perfectly fine to ask the Records such things as “What would you like me to know today?” the more meaning your question has for you, and the more clear your intention, the more robust and specific the answers will be. Additionally, avoid yes/no questions and instead begin questions with What, Why, or How.

Second, the Records do not work in linear time.  For example, asking “When should I look for a new job?” will likely not get a very helpful response.  Asking “What do I need to heal before looking for a new job?” or “What is getting in the way of me finding satisfaction in my current job?” or “How does my soul’s purpose relate to my current career or life path?” will provide much deeper and more satisfying responses!

 Third, the Records do not judge things as good or bad, right or wrong.  Everything is for your soul’s evolution and growth - both pleasurable and painful experiences.  For example, asking “Am I on the right path?” will not provide much help,  Asking “What is my soul plan? Where am I on my soul plan? What obstacles are in the way? How can I move forward with my soul plan?” will likely be much more fruitful!

Technically, we work with the Guides as one in that we do not seek answers from a specific group or being.  Instead, we rely on the Divine essence and energy of the Records, experiencing them as one cohesive voice.  That being said, many people still like to know who they are, and who we are talking to.  If that’s you, read on…knowing it is not necessary to keep these beings clear or necessarily in mind during a reading.

The Akashic “team” is made up of the Lords of the Records, Masters, Teachers, and Loved Ones.  Here is a brief description of each category:

Lords of the Records ensure the safety and integrity of the Records, determining who can access the Records (e.g. prohibiting lower vibration/negative entities from accessing them), and how (e.g. anyone can access the Records as long as certain protocols are used).  They also determine what information will be revealed during a reading. The Lords are light beings and have never been in human form.

Like the Lords of the Records, the Masters are also light beings who have not incarnated.  However unlike the Lords who work on a more universal level, the Masters work with individual souls.  They are with a soul from its inception, assisting with on going growth and evolution according to the soul’s chosen plan, calling upon the assistance of Teachers and Loved Ones as needed.  A soul can have more than one Master, and a Master can work with more than one soul.

Teachers may or may not have previously been in human form, and are only with a soul for specific lessons.  This may span part of a single lifetime, or over several lifetimes, depending on how long it takes the soul to learn and integrate the particular lesson.  Teachers may have been ordinary average humans, or considered great human teachers, like Jesus or Buddha.

Loved Ones are the souls of beings once known to us in human form. They may have been close or distant to us when they were alive, but in spirit form actively chose to support us.  While they typically also choose to remain part of the collective Akashic voice, they may occasionally reveal themselves during a reading if it supports you or the messages being conveyed in the moment.

No - unlike in a mediumship reading we are not intentionally trying to connect with the spirit of a particular person. However, spirit guides, angels, ancestors, loved ones, and other enlightened beings may be supporting your reading and helping to convey messages as well, and may reveal their presence.

And no - an Akashic Record reading is not predictive like a psychic reading, but likely future possibilities given the reality of the current moment may be revealed.  That being said, humans have free will, and the reality of the future may change with our choices.  It is also true the Akashic Records may reveal what is most needed to move you toward the greatest good/potential outcome in ways that are not always obvious or what they seem!
